Supporting global users of Liquidity system – Fin Arch. This involves ensuring that the sites across the group submit the data as per the deadline during operational timeline, understanding and interpreting the data calculations and validation within the systems, troubleshooting user’s issues related to system usage and data quality.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensure that the team understand and interpret the data calculations and validation within the systems, troubleshooting user’s issues related to system usage and data quality
- Ensure that the team understands LR framework i.e. Process (Technical solution), Regulatory requirements for data purposes & Systems
- Ensure ongoing data analysis support for seamless service delivery of Liquidity reports to various onshore partners as per agreed service levels
- Understand stakeholders’ (i.e. Country data analysis’s, onshore teams) needs, identifying and implementing improvements in a continuous manner from a system & data standpoint
- To work effectively with varying levels of people in Finance Function, LR Programme workstreams, the PMO, IT as required
- Ensure roles & tasks are clearly mapped and understood as relevant bythe team
- Leading Level 1/2 support of Fin Arch (for Liquidity reporting) for users across the Group
- Ensuring operational timeline deliverables are met as per the deadlines
- Ensure that the live issues escalated as and when required
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:
- Good understanding of FSA or local regulatory reporting.
- B Com/MBA/M Com with 6+ years of overall experience in Finance / Finance Systems. Experience of working in Regulatory systems (preferably Financial studio). Basic knowledge of SQL is required.
- Background on accounting and finance with hands-on reconciliation and reporting experience.
- Analytical problem solver, good inter-personal and communication skills with ability to manage and work well with business users. Need to be based on-site in Hong Kong.
- Proven track record of data solutions and driven/ been part of significant change initiatives preferably in the financial services industry
- Understanding of financial products (specifically Retail, GB&M and IRR) and how they impact finance operations and more generically the banking business
- Has experience in working in a global environment and ideally has worked internationally
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical location
- Strong attention to detail and being solution oriented
- Strong communication skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner to a global audience
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to adapt to changing situations and to understand issues quickly.
- A self-starting, independent worker who will take the initiative and progress the development and profile of this role.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Willing to challenge the status quo, be proactive and innovative in driving change
- Willing to travel extensively if needed
- Excellent working knowledge of MS related products i.e PowerPoint, Excel, Access
- Working knowledge of Banking systems and understanding of relevant regulatory reporting framework preferable
