Senior Manager- Operational Risk  Primary Purpose Of This Position :  - This role is key and responsible for applying the function's approach to risk identification and mitigation, control management and audit engagement   - Responsible to assist VP (Risk) with the design and implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework  - This operations role ensures a constant state of preparation, readiness and continuous improvement across process, risk management and reduction, audit success, documentation, MIS systems and reporting.  - Updating Operational Risk Policy on a periodic basis to ensure that the policy reflect best practices.  Key Job Responsibilities :  - Coordinate, facilitate and promote understanding and practice of Operational Risk within the organization  - Aggregating and analyzing risk events reported by the business units   - Performing a monthly reconciliation between the risk events reported to Risk Management, Finance and Forensic departments  - Performing root cause analysis on identified risk events to recommend improvements to prevent these risk events from re-occurring in future.  - Assisting the Principal Risk Owners and Principal Risk Coordinators with the identification of key risk indicators in their business units  - Monitoring the implementation of action plans to address medium and red key risk indicators reported monthly to Risk Management  - Analyzing identified trends in the key risk indicators reported to Risk Management.  - Assisting the Principal Risk Owners and Principal Risk Coordinators with the identification of key risks and mitigating controls in their business units, as well as action plans to address any gaps in the mitigating measures identified.  - Monitoring the implementation of action plans to address medium and red key risks on the risk and control self-assessments/risk registers  - Preparing reports for the Executive Management Team and Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.  - Considering and suggesting methods to improve risk analysis and reporting to the Risk Committee, Executive Management Team and Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.  - Utilizing mathematical and statistical knowledge to assist with the building of risk models in support of Operational Risk Management  Experience / Knowledge & Skills :  - 4-5 years of banking / NBFC experience of which 2 years should be in the operational risk environment  - Prior experience of designing and/or implementing risk management processes is preferable  - Educational qualification: B.E. / B. Tech & MBA  - A professional certification such as FRM, PRM is a plus
