Manager - Credit & Risk
Job Purpose:
- To contribute to the growth of the business by ensuring that Credit proposals are reviewed using adequate documentation within a committed time-frame and without compromising on quality of assessment.
- To hold regular reviews of the portfolio with the internal stakeholders.
- To decide proposals within the delegated authority framework.
- To build and maintain the Risk engine of products including business rules and scorecards.
- To implement our proprietary models across business and identify ways to improve and optimize them over time.
- To evaluate/Underwrite and recommend/decide cases of different products under digital lending platform and beyond.
- To liaison and work with external partners and consultants t0 develop/implement new strategies.
- To maintain and monitor the stipulated Turn Around Time (TAT).
Roles & Responsibilities:Credit review Process:- To Review credit proposals by analyzing the client credit worthiness, business strengths, market credibility, Financial statements, Cash flow Statements, IT returns, Bank records, Repayment tracks etc.
- To Analyze Static pool of proposed partners and recommend with deep insights.
- Portfolio monitoring: Providing timely information and insights on portfolio risk performance through reporting and analysis.
- Data ; Understanding and resolving data issues in an evolving data environment.
- Work closely with Business, Product, Tech to devise the best and most innovative solutions for satisfying Customer's needs.
Documentation & MIS:- Maintain thorough documentation for effective tracking of proposals documents and TAT.
- Prepare the MIS on progress and sharing with stakeholders.
- Develop and produce reports to measure the performance and effectiveness of processes and Policies in place.
- Documentation and storage of all proposals appraisal chain.
Portfolio Monitoring:- To monitor portfolio performance by continuous analysis of Pool.
- To set up a hind sighting process and make it effective.
- Devise analytical tools to measure the Portfolio health from various angles and highlight early warning signals.
Cross Functional Coordination:- Communicate the expected credit standards by engaging with external partners, sales team and other relevant parties.
- Oversee communication cascades to the sales teams on the broad parameters for validating partnerships proposals, providing regular training to RMs for the same.
Enabling Skill Sets & Qualifications:- Education-; CA/MBA/Master of Economics with
- Experience; 5 to 8 years experience in Credit and Risk functions of FinTech/Banks/NBFCs.
- Ability to read and observe deep the financial statements of proposals.
- Knowledge of Statistical techniques, Analytics is preferred and strong proficiency in MS Excel is desired.
- Experience in digital lending, Scorecard development are preferred.
- Ability to present complex concepts in a clear and easy consumable way to other stakeholders.
- Problem solving, adaptability to change, enjoy a fast pace and challenging environment are the key attributes.
