Role Overview:
Legal professional - Recovery Litigation will be responsible for managing and monitoring recovery litigation efforts across the country. This role requires expertise in litigation processes, compliance, regulatory interpretation, and legal document review. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling legal cases related to recovery and possess the analytical skills to ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recovery Litigation Management: Oversee and manage recovery litigation activities across all regions, ensuring timely and effective litigation handling.
- Legal Document Drafting & Vetting: Draft and vet replies, legal documents, and communications to be filed on behalf of the company in recovery litigation cases.
- Compliance Review: Conduct detailed reviews and analyses of ongoing litigation to identify compliance requirements and appeal opportunities. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Interpretation: Interpret and apply various regulations related to recovery litigation and provide solutions in case of compliance-related issues.
- Contractual Assistance: Work closely with the legal team to interpret, vet, and finalize agreements or contracts relevant to recovery litigation and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in recovery litigation, ideally in the insurance or financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of legal procedures, recovery processes, and compliance regulations.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
