Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the business contracts / agreements, provide legal advice and review legal cases, advise the management, leadership and respective stakeholders.
- Manage all litigations by or against the company, handle all regulatory adjudications, enquiry proceedings, statutory actions, and investigations.
- Manage end to end coordination with the company's legal firm and keep abreast with the developments and amendments in the legal domains related functions.
- Proactively identify and advise on legal / regulatory risks, escalating when necessary to the founders, stakeholders and finally assisting with recommendations and solutions.
- Provide legal input for any new or existing policies, ensure all changes are within the permitted legal / regulatory framework.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.
- Stay up to date with all changes in legal and regulatory frameworks and align the business products & offerings with the same from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills-
- 10-15 Years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Financial Services company or a Corporate Law firm participating actively in Company Legal practices.
- Bachelor of Legislation of Law (LLB) is mandatory.
- Candidates with experience in Broking Industry is added advantage
- Hands-on experience and understanding of corporate laws and procedures with sound judgment and good communication skills.
- Managing end-to-end Corporate Legal team, practice and processes for a Series B/C stage startup or a company valued over INR 1000 Crores.
- Has directly worked with Senior Management / Leadership in matters related to Legal and Corporate Affairs.
