Legal Manager

Job Description : Legal Counsel (LC 3)

The incumbent would be required to do the following:

- Provide substantive legal advice on matters for management of the Company and some of its subsidiaries in the region to assist them in planning and policy setting.

- Represents the Company in negotiations and/or settlements of domestic or foreign legal issues of importance, where appropriate and engaged.

- Within respective area of responsibility or specialization (viz employment law), evaluate the impact of all major changes in the law and assesses the impact on the policies and operating procedures.

- The incumbent would also be required to take an active role in educating and training of less experienced counsel and other team members (within and outside the function) as appropriate.

- The incumbent may also be interfacing with various regulatory authorities, vendors etc., and would be expected to be regarded as an accomplished one within the organisation and outside of it and to ensure appropriate behavious as a brand ambassador of the Company in those forum.

- The position will currently be based in Hyderabad and will be part of the Law Department. The position will report to VP Legal

Desired profile: LL.B (A Masters degree or additional certifications would be added advantage)

Minimum Experience: 9 years

Maximum Experience:11 years

Essential Skills

- Conversant with Labour and employment laws, Corporate, Commercial, Economic and other Industrial laws, good knowledge of STPI and SEZ schemes and the Foreign trade policies

- Good understanding and hands on experience of dealing with various statutory authorities and procedures

- Review and negoatiation of commercial contracts.

- Drafting and vetting various legal documents, agreements.

- understanding of legal, practices.

- Strong analysis and interpretations skills

- Good presentation & influencing skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Willingness to learn

Preferred Skills

- MS Office skills

- Experience in working in an onshore-offshore environment
