Legal Counsel - Telecommunications

Our client is a world leader in telecommunications. The company creates and manages technology infrastructure solutions for telecom networks comprising hardware and software products as well as services which are integral to the customer's business. They have a presence in over 155 countries and a very large footprint in India.

- We are seeking to identify a Legal Counsel to be based in Gurgaon for the organisation.

- The position will be responsible for legal aspects pertaining to commercial, contractual and regulatory matters for the company's high-value customer engagements in the telecom infrastructure space.

- For this the incumbent will need to be closely aligned with the relevant business heads, procurement & sales Team and all other support functions.

- The position will report to Head Legal & Compliance, India.

Roles and Responsibilities Include :

- Provide strong contracting, legal and regulatory support to the business/procurement teams on all business operations and activities of the Company.

- Provide effective legal support to the business and procurement teams in contract structuring, preparation and negotiation.

- Draft contract templates for all lines of business of the organization.

- Managing and resolving complex contracts and RFP/Tender issues with the customers/vendors.

- Provide general legal advice and support to other functions e.g. human resources, finance, IT, admin, corporate services, real estate management etc.

- Manage customer contracts and provide support to effectively monitor and enforce the contracts from a legal perspective.

- Evaluate the impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations pertaining to the relevant business function and highlight the same in time and contribute to the business planning process.

Your Profile :

- You should have a strong academic background with Law Degree from a reputable university/ institution with at least 10+ years post-qualification experience in the corporate commercial law.

- Exposure to the telecom sector would be an added advantage

- Ability to draft and close commercial agreements independently and efficiently;

- Stakeholder Management with excellent research and analytical skills.
