Legal Counsel

Position: Legal Counsel

Experience: 6-8 years

Location: Gurgaon

Minimum Education: A law degree from a recognized Indian university and a Bar qualification.

Role as an Independent Contributor

Job Objective:

- Offer expert legal counsel, advice, and support to all business divisions and functions within India.

- Ideally gained through a combination of working in a corporate and commercial team at a law firm in India and as an in-house counsel.

- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reviewing and drafting various commercial agreements, including sales contracts, procurement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and customer communications.

- Providing pragmatic legal guidance on operational and strategic matters, collaborating closely with all Business Units and Functions in India.

- Conducting independent legal research and applying it to pertinent business concerns.

- Overseeing ongoing or potential litigation and arbitrations, formulating appropriate strategies, and engaging and managing local external counsel when necessary. Also, managing property due diligence.

- Conducting legal training sessions on relevant topics for the internal client base of the legal team
