Legal Counsel & Company Secretary - BFSI

Our client is one of the Global Financial Services firm in Bangalore. Looking for a seasoned candidate to join their Legal Counsel and Compliance head role and manage an employee strength of about 2000 people.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- The role is a combination of Company Secretary and Legal Counsel, primarily inclined towards Legal Counsel.

- Manage litigation proceedings, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external law firms. Draft, review, and validate a diverse range of legal documents including contracts, petitions, and notices.

- Provide comprehensive guidance on various corporate legal aspects, managing filings, and interactions with regulatory authorities.

- Act as the Company Secretary, overseeing all related responsibilities, work closely with Practicing Company Secretaries to ensure seamless compliance management.

- Ensure compliance with corporate regulations, overseeing filings, and adhering to governance protocols.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- Qualifies lawyer & Certified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India with 12-18 years of experience.

- Previous experience as a Practicing BAR Counsel in any diverse case types is desirable.

- Fluency in the local language "Kannada" is mandatory.

- A strong leader, possessing gravitas leadership experience.

- Independent contributor with the caliber to independently handle Labour law authorities, employee disputes and other local issues.
