Role responsibilities:

- Key role in the management of the receipt and delivery of confidential information in support of the desk's trading functions. The candidate will draft and negotiate confidentiality agreements, liaise with the compliance team to ensure maintenance of restricted trading lists, review and analyse credit agreements to ensure compliance with the desk's confidentiality obligations, work with traders, sales and sourcing teams and customers to ensure confidential information is exchanged on an expedited basis to meet trading deadlines

- Legal documentation for distressed/ par trades in the UK region. We typically follow standard terms and conditions prescribed by the Loan Market Association. The candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documentation, negotiation with counterparties and ensuring timely closing of trades.

- The candidate will be expected to quickly grasp standard confidentiality and trading terms and lead the overall confidentiality and trade execution process.

- The candidate will be the day to day legal contact for DPG and shall provide support in fresh investment/ trading efforts as well as dealing with any issues in existing positions.

- Resolution and recovery of non-performing loans/portfolios. From time to time, the candidate shall be required to provide legal assistance with resolution/ recovery processes of defaulted credits.

- Candidate will be expected to develop a good understanding of the distressed loan market and work proactively with business colleagues on trades.

- Legal due diligence and documentation for fresh acquisitions/ restructurings. Coordinate with external law firms for structuring and documenting fresh investments/ acquisitions and advise the business heads of legal risks, mitigants and appropriate contractual protections.

Person specification :

- Graduation from top Law College.

- Experience of 2-3 years in a top law firm or a financial institution will be preferred

- A good commercial sense, good writing and communication skills and willingness to learn the industry practices

- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
