Position: Legal Analyst
We are financial technology company, searching for an legal Analyst who has experience in contract management in a cybersecurity firm which has a deep understanding of both legal principles and cybersecurity best practices to protect the organization from legal risks.
- Legal contract management for a cybersecurity firm involves several key roles and responsibilities:
- Contract Review: Reviewing and analysing contracts, including vendor agreements, client contracts,and partnership agreements, to ensure they align with legal and cybersecurity requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identifying and assessing legal and cybersecurity risks associated with contracts and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring that the firm complies with relevant cybersecurity laws and regulations, such as data protection and privacy laws.
- Negotiation: Participating in contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners to protect the firm's interests and cybersecurity posture.
- Contract Drafting: Drafting and revising contracts to include necessary cybersecurity clauses, such as data protection, confidentiality, and incident response.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining a comprehensive contract repository, including versions, amendments, and key dates.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with third-party vendors and ensuring they adhere to cybersecurity standards and contractual obligations.
- Incident Response: Developing and implementing contractually mandated incident response plans in case of cybersecurity breaches or incidents.
- Legal Research: Staying up-to-date with cybersecurity laws and regulations to provide guidance on compliance.
- Training and Education: Conducting training sessions and providing educational materials to staff regarding cybersecurity-related legal matters.
- Dispute Resolution: Handling contract-related disputes and potential litigation, if necessary.
- Due Diligence: Conducting due diligence on potential business partners, assessing their cybersecurity practices and evaluating legal risks.
- Policy Development: Collaborating with cybersecurity teams to develop and update internal policies and procedures related to contract management and cybersecurity.
- Reporting: Preparing reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders on contract- related legal and cybersecurity matters.
- Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance contract management processes and cybersecurity practices within the firm.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a track record of contract management (Relevant qualifications in Law preferred).
- Minimum of 10 - 12 years' experience required in legal contract management - Prior exposure to Cyber Security/ Legal Tech industry is advantageous.
