Our client is looking for Learning Specialist. The person will be working for a well-funded EdTech firm, founded in 2011 by IITians, which is primarily interactive online tutoring platform where teachers provide school tuition's to students over the internet, using a real-time virtual learning environment that is a technology built in-house. It operates on marketplace model for teachers, where students can browse, discover and choose to learn from an online tutor of their choice.
Job Description :
- Provide leadership in understanding the science of learning and in designing innovative learning experiments
- Analyze the student learning outcome data and draw insights from student learning continuum and learning gaps across grades and subjects
- Develop hypothesis on what leads to learning outcome gaps based on the data
- Develop methods to personalize learning experience of students based on learning outcome data
- Work with data analysts/scientists to develop analytical models to correlate learning outcomes data with key drivers of learning outcomes like engagement, curriculum, pedagogy, program, and student background
- Design innovative experiments to overcome learning gaps based on data and insights from analytics
- Partner with different program teams to evaluate effectiveness and viability of different interventions
- Design pilots by working with different program teams using experimental designs for impact measurement
- Collaborate with different teams to plan and execute pilots, collect data, analyze success metrics, and share insights with different teams
- Collaborate with technology and product teams to develop scalable assessment solutions
- Manage assessment projects including design, development, administration, analysis, and reporting
Skills/Experience Required :
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience with atleast 5 years of experience in the education sector
- Atleast 3 years of hands-on experience in design, development, and implementation of learning and pedagogical innovations in the K12 sector
- Experience in carrying out analysis of learning outcome data and in presenting actionable insights to different stakeholders
- Demonstrable experience in making data-based decisions to design learning experiments
- Knowledge of research and sampling designs
- Demonstrable ability to navigate tensions between theoretical purity and practical constraints in research
- Knowledge of current issues in learning outcome growth and its measurement in K-12 sector
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including strong report writing skills
Qualification: Phd, Master's or bachelor's degree in education, statistics, economics, public policy, or engineering with relevant experience in learning sciences or pedagogy. Required years of work experience is flexible based on relevance of your work experience and educational qualification.
