Position Summary :
The Senior Academic Manager will be part of the Academic Team with responsibilities of improving the academic content of the various programmes of the organisation. (S)He must have strong knowledge of the K- 12 sector and be apprised of the global outlook of education and the challenges therein. The position holder should also be well versed with 21st century teaching requirements, challenges facing the sector and ways of addressing the same including aspects of teacher training.
Main Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Duties
The following are the key responsibilities (but not limited) to this role:
- Content development: Develop content (training materials, templates, observation rubrics, assessment rubrics, subject-based questions) for academic programmes of Education Quality Foundation of India
- Content writing: Write blogs, articles, thought pieces for internal and external media outlets
- Bid writing: Scan Request for Proposal (RFP) calls and prepare bid documents and proposals as deemed fit for the interest of the organisation
- Training: Conduct briefings and workshops for teachers and head teachers as required
- Data analysis: Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis of observations collected through surveys and visits as part of various programmes of Education Quality Foundation of India
- Coordinate with externals: Coordinate with external assessors and train them on the minimum requirements for a project
- Report writing: Regularly write interim and end-project reports for all activities conducted by the organisation
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities -
- Post graduate degree or equivalent
- 5- 7 years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and oral communicative skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience of working in education sector (highly desirable)
- Experience of writing bid documents and proposals (highly desirable)
- Experience of conducting training to teachers and/or head teachers (highly desirable)
- Experience of working in development sector (desirable)
- Experience of working with Microsoft tools (Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent project management skills (a certificate of PRINCE2 or equivalent will be a bonus)
Compensation - Compensation will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend on candidate's previous experience levels.
