Learning & Development Consultant (Short Term Disability)
The opportunity
As a Learning & Development (L&D) Consultant, you will play a key role in talent development by enhancing employee knowledge, skillset, and ability to deliver consistent results for our clients. You will partner with Group Claims to design and facilitate training, provide coaching, maintain processes documentation, and support our continuous improvement culture. Our Group Claims organization focuses on Disability, Absence, Life and Life Waiver of Premium insurance products. This role will primarily focus on training Short Term Disability (STD) Claim staff.
How you will contribute- Lead the Group Claims organization to continuously learn, build, and grow professionally.
- Build new and improve existing L&D programs and ensure they are scalable and address the learning needs of employees and leaders.
- Facilitate programs effectively for various audiences - both virtually or in-person.
- Design and develop self-paced learning opportunities thru a variety of mediums including e-learning, job aids or other performance support tools.
- Develop metrics and means to track the effectiveness and efficiency of L&D programs.
- Assess employee progress and conduct feedback through coaching sessions.
- Act as a role model to new and existing employees through your positive and client-focused attitude.
- Recognize and act on opportunities for continuous improvement and process excellence.
