What is the focus of the function :

Work with Analytics team to create a road map for the Tech solutions / platform required to build Analytics solutions, work with verticals to envision, conceptualize and position our tech solutions and participate in large enterprise deal strategy planning & execution. Own resource management and partnerships for Big Data technologies .

Company has a very strong analytics practice and we are building a next generation analytics platform. This role belongs to the Digital (advanced technologies) organization which leads the tech solution for the analytics org . This role is required to lead the team building the platform, interface with counterparts in the Analytics team for joint GTM and also work independently to take just the technology solution to market independently when customers require so.

Big Data and associated technologies form the foundation for any analytics solution and that is where every single organization is headed to - either as exploring how big data technologies can have a significant play for them or directly looking for analytics solutions which are all based on these technologies.

- The person will report to Head of Digital Services all advanced technologies report in to this role.

What are the minimum prior qualifications to be an applicant for this role :

- B Tech, MCA, MSc (CS/ IT), MBA (optional)

What are the key initiatives and challenges facing this role in the next six months to three years :

- Dynamic nature of build since this is still an evolving area with many customers, one cannot work with a frozen 12-18 month plan/road map and needs to be nimble and agile to accommodate newer technologies/ evolving customer needs and be adaptable to integrate them in the existing roadmap

- Resource challenges shortage in market for skilled resources

Key Roles and Responsibilities :

Role : Core responsibilities include :

The Big Data Lead will be responsible for :

- Working closely with analytics team to define the overall product roadmap/program management

- Responsible for Architecture, Design and Development of Big data solutions/platforms

- Work with sales and operations leader to architect solutions and present them to customers

- Resource management & ups-killing the team

- Continuously evaluate newer technologies/upcoming market trends and keep company ahead of the game

- Identify game changing opportunities and embed the available expertise to create differentiated solutions

- Be the thought leader clear understanding of big data/IOT trends, advanced analytics products in the market,

- Must be smart, have the ability to envisage and architect solutions, customer savvy. Should be someone that the sales leaders want to take in front of their customers .

Required Skill Set :

- At least 9 -17 years of industry experience

- Customer facing and experience of having led/ delivered engagements for large customers

- Technically competent to create big data technologies led solutions and take them to market (Big Data & Analytics, Cloud & J2EE application development. Stream Processing, Map-Reduce, Data Modeling (Dimension/Relational), Highly Scalable Architectures, Distributed Technologies, NoSQL Systems and Complex Event Processing)

- Smart individual who can lead the team working on cutting edge technologies and motivate by example

- Provide leadership in Big Data & Analytics Space. Deep experience in managing entire product lifecycle, Market Analysis, Creating Product Roadmaps, Product Adoption Strategy.

- Ability to quickly grasp existing systems, goals and tech options for given situations

- Excellent written/spoken English
