Location : Delhi/NCR
Manager Business Development –Oil and Gas Segment, is responsible for developing both a long-term strategy as well as a near-term plan for profitable growth the Oil and Gas segment. This includes identifying high-growth opportunities,maintaining relationships with key accounts, and assisting in planning for the organization's success. This requires a thorough assessment of customer requirements, their decision making process, and Pentair’s strengths and weaknesses within this segment.
Key responsibilities of this role
- Manage relationships with key customers including oil/gas, energy, petro sector person must be aware of upcoming projects/ expansion plans, decision making process, key decision makers, budgets etc. at these customers
- Help GBUs drive specifications of 5-6 key products/ solutions with these key customers
- Drive critical cross-GBU initiatives/ synergies for growth (examples listed below)
- Drive channel synergies across GBUs. Ensure all GBUs cross-leverage the channels & feet-on-street and minimize duplication of resources
- Coordinate the sales process across the GBUs for mega-projects, Help identify new growth initiatives within a GBU or across GBUs for the Oil and Gas markets
- Develop a bi-annual report on the Oil and Gas industry and Pentair’s opportunities
Metrics on which the candidate will be measured
- Incremental sales growth in the industry/segment
- Synergies identified between GBUs
- Relationship level with key accounts
- Quality of bi-annual strategic plan
Key attributes of successful candidates will include
- Ability to work effectively with senior-level executives and manage internal and external customer relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals
- Strong problem solving ability; rigorous and resourceful with a pragmatic approach - applying 80-20 rule and coming up with directionally sound logic to navigate through limited data situations
- Experience in conducting secondary and primary research; competitive analysis
- Ability to directly interact with leaders in select Industries to seed partnership opportunities
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience
- B Tech + MBA from IIM, XLRI, SP Jain, IIT Graduate Experience in managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, making sound decisions and working effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong written & oral communication skills
- Experience incollecting information and developing a long-term strategy for a business or vertical
- Experience in Sales/ Marketing or Strategy Development in Oil and Gas/ Petrochemicals Industries
