Position: AVP - Operations Risk Analytics Leader


Role Summary/Purpose:

The selected candidate will lead the Risk Analytics Team, rolling up to Financial India. The candidate will be responsible for leading an Analytics Team of 10+ analysts, that develop data driven solutions that yield efficiencies and effectiveness using analytics across the organization. Visioning and Strategic Planning are critical for this role, while working closely with VP and SVP levels. The candidate is also responsible for building partnerships with various US stakeholders.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of 10+ analytics professionals.

- Provide thought leadership and analytical solutions across Risk and other functions. Specific focus areas include, but are not inclusive to, Risk Testing, Compliance, Operational Risk, enterprise-wide functional process oversight and the Risk Assessment Programs.

- Strategically lead, vision and progress the team's analytics-based journey across the organization.

- Lead & manage the development of team members that include technical and soft skills.


- Build and implement a training program for team members.

- Partner with the customers and key stakeholders at all levels including SVP's on initiatives, to ensure an excellent experience with value-add timely and accurate results delivery.

- Capacity plan and time manage the team using a priority and skills-based approach.

- Build and drive the marketing and branding of this team across Financial service.

- Identify, test and train the team on the latest tools and techniques in the Industry.

- Facilitate weekly analytics and project-based updates with VP's and SVP's.

- Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate the data collection and performance measurement process and escalate issues as necessary and make contributions to research and analyses on priority projects within established guidelines.

- Create a team culture and interactive environment that balances fun and engagement with strong Business delivery.

- Manage, support and lead projects and initiatives including both analytical and non analytical ones.

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree in any discipline

- 8+ Years of working experience in Financial Services with a strong understanding of analytics and at least 3 years in team management.

- Good understanding of USA credit business market

Desired Qualifications:

- Strong written/oral communication skills

- Strong leadership skills

- Exposure to R, Python & Omniture

- Ability to drive initiatives

- Understanding of macro-economic conditions & competitors' trends

- Good knowledge of latest Analytical practices in the Industry

- Knowledge of latest Analytics Data Visualization tools like Tableau & SAS VA
