Position Overview:

- The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver the Learning and Development (T&D) agenda for our manufacturing plants, helping our employees advance their skills and knowledge and to improve the productivity by aligning with company's objective & business plans. The overriding goal of the L&D Manager is to help organisation meet its targets through an in-depth learning and development programme.

- The role will take the lead on partnerships with education providers and government agencies, helping organisation secure funding and the facilities to train large numbers of employees, as well as working with external and internal resources to design fit for purpose training programmes.

- Finally, the role will also support our wider HR team in reviewing individual and organisational development needs and work to design programmes, implement and measure their success.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the development, design and creation of training materials (Technical, Safety, Soft Skills, IDP based trainings) that support training and development initiatives to support the achievement of company strategic objectives.

- Develop 'the basics' for company, including mandatory, skills, competencies, and developmental training.

- Work closely with R&D, Operations, and senior stakeholders to implement the training strategy to develop learning plans appropriate to the strategic and tactical needs of the business.

- Training Need Analysis, Skill Dictionary and Skill Gap preparation for each position.

- Preparation and Implementation of Training plan (Annual, Quarterly, Monthly)

- Identification and Development of Internal Subject matter Expert (SMEs) by "Train the Trainer" programme

- Introduction and implementation of Reward and Recognition programme for best learner, trainer (internal)

- Introduction and implementation of educational assistance programme for Talent development for officers/Associates.

- Project manage the development of training content and material.

- Partner with local and national education providers to develop a skills pipeline which enables future headcount plans.

- Collaboration with OEMs, Vendors for imparting on job/offsite Trainings to Officers/ Associates

- Ensure clear evaluation criteria are established for all training programmes (e.g. measuring competency uplift, performance impact, business impact of programme).

- Organise effective piloting of new training content and material to confirm its suitability for the target audience and sign off for launch.

Person Specification:

- Significant prior experience working as an L&D Manager

- Prior experience with manufacturing, early careers and government agencies

- Experience in project management, budgeting and vendor management

- Practical experience with e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

- Experience in change management.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage numerous projects with competing priorities.

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

- Relevant HR qualification or L&D Certification (ISTD Diploma) or equivalent experience.
