Lead - Treasury - Mid Office Operations

Responsible for day to day operations & management of the department. Ensure the operations thereof are effectively and efficiently executed with adherence to internal and external policy and guidelines.

Detailed activities of Mid Office will include following:

1. Investments -

- Daily and monthly valuation of Investment Portfolio (SLR NSLR, EQ, VCF, SR, PTCs etc) in line with regulatory guidelines.

- PNL entries are computed accurately for accounting in line with regulations.

- Daily monthly and quarterly DTR PL circulated to front office is reconciled with financials and also validate Treasury GL figures.

- Accurate compilation and filing of Investment related regulatory Returns.

- Accounting valuation and monitoring of investment products. E.g., but not limited to, amortization of MTM of Investment book, SLR Maintenance, SLR HTM monitoring, CBLO, CALL monitoring, Category Transfer

- Implement Ind AS for the Bank.

- Liasoning with internal, external and regulatory auditors to ensure that no control gap issues or significant observations are raised.

- Track all internal and external limits and escalate breaches to management.

- Co-ordinate financial year closing activities which involves MIS submission to RMC, FINCON and liasoning with statutory auditors.

- Rate Scan.

2. Forex and Derivatives -

- Daily and monthly valuation of FX & Derivatives (Interest Swaps, Currency Swaps & Options) in line with regulatory guidelines.

- Market data is accurately updated and curve assignment is correct for different products.

- Analyse the impact and system development for LIBOR transition.

- PL entries are computed accurately for accounting of FX, FCY Derivatives in line with regulations.

- Reconcile daily monthly and quarterly DTR PL circulated to front office with financials and also validate Treasury GL figures.

- Tracking Hedges and underlying, accounting for hedges and performing hedge effectiveness.

- Liasoning with internal, external and regulatory auditors to ensure that no control gap issues or significant observations are raised.

- Track all internal and external limits and escalate breaches to management.

- Co-ordinate financial year closing activities which involves MIS submission to RMC, FINCON and liasoning with statutory auditors.

- Rate Scan

3. Regulatory reporting -

- Ensure Capital Charge for credit risk is correctly computed in accordance with Basel III guidelines for CCP and OTC derivative contracts.

- Analyse the impact and changes required for implementation of bilateral netting guidelines.

- Ensure Capital Charge for Market risk is correctly computed in accordance with Basel III guidelines.

- Timely submission and accurate compilation of NOOP and AGL numbers.

- Ensure timely submission and accurate computation of other regulatory submission like Leverage Ratio, NSFR, ALE, MAP SIR, etc.

- Ensure accurate compilation of various RBS data points.

4. Others :

- Any other activity incidental and / or relating to Treasury Mid Office and Treasury Risk Management. Including new product, regulatory changes, new business.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies required:

- Exposure to Treasury function and Treasury System

- Strong Product knowledge of Treasury Products, including accounting thereof

- Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize key message

- Able to work under pressure and capable of meeting multiple deadlines.

- Excellent Excel skills

- Team management skills.
