Lead Trade Marketing - FMCG


At present, We are having an urgent opening for Trade Mktg & Channel Engagement Lead for a REPUTED FMCG Co based at MUMBAI location.


The company is a fast-growing FMCG company with a yearly turnover of 1200 - 1600 crores having its international presence in Bangladesh, GCC countries, Nepal and ROW market.

Reporting to Head of Trade Marketing & Analytics: Knowledge and Experience - 6-8 years of relevant experience in Sales (FMCG/Consumer Care Industry). Channel Development / Sales Development and Trade marketing Experience is a Must

Critical role responsible for:

- The Person will be responsible for End-to-End Channel & Trade Engagement to drive Sales.

- Driving and managing the Shopper strategy for Pan India and maximizing revenue, profitability.

- He will be the Sole strategy maker who will monitor the nuances of Retail Environment by Strategizing the following.

- Pack Play Mix & Assortment Led Strategies,

- Taking decisions on how to increase Offtakes through executions.

- Will draft plan for in Shop/Out of Shop Promotions for Focus States.

- The Incumbent will be responsible for driving the Channel Mix Strategy depending on outcomes of Internal and External Data. Inference from HHP/Nielsen/Brand health Parameters will be of utmost importance for this position.

- Stake Holder Management, Cross Functional Team Management are the 2 most important traits which need to be there in this role.

- The Incumbent further needs to liaison with the 3 P Agency-Channel Program, Alternate Distribution Spocs in order to ensure seamless delivery of the project.

- As a part of the Trade marketing team the candidate needs to have hands on knowledge and would lead the GTM.

Strategic Orientation:

- Understand General Trade dynamics in FMCG Industry and help design Channel ,Brand and Shopper strategy in alignment with the business priorities to increase revenue, market share and profitability for the assigned geography.

- Analyse Nielsen, KWP, Gain/Loss, Brand Health and make hypothesis of what is working, what is not working and accordingly come up with short term and long term strategies for the business.

- Design business strategies to capture new avenues of expansion, boost market share, and increase sales volumes across assigned geographies, profitably by not hampering the SKU Mix as per GM Profile

Operation Excellence: Planning & Execution:

- Ensure smooth functioning of entire sales cycle including planning of monthly, quarterly numbers and seamless execution of the same.

- Planning the Consumer Promo/Trade Promo Allocation in complete alignment with Supply Chain team keeping the Sales team in Confidence.

- Designing distribution goals for the assigned geography and Tracking the same through the assigned MIS Team

- Monitoring and following up with the team and understanding the Bottlenecks and finding systemic solution through IT Enablement

- Planning and execution of channel led initiatives to maximize revenue.

- Driving Brand Plan through Activation based Calendar & Maintaining a QCP to harmonize Brand vs Trade Activation effectively

People/ Self Development:

- Monitor the Frequency of Publication of reports and building up Effective Review mechanism through MIS Team and further keeping Cadence Call to understand the Bottlenecks and provide Solutions

- Review and monitor performance of region and adequately supporting them with Inputs aligned with Brand and the Sales Custodians

- Enhance engagement levels of the Trade, thereby increasing Trade satisfaction and participation.
