Technology Strategy Lead
The Group is a Rs 5,200 Crore Conglomerate with six diverse businesses and have set itself a target of reaching a size of Rs 20,000 Crores by year 2020, achieving achieving at least Rs 1 Crore per employee. In line with this over-arching strategy, they have recently hired a US experienced Professional to head their Corporate Strategy, Planning and Development.
Our Client is now hiring members to this team (a Technology Strategy Lead).
- Strategy Planning within the Group is conducted in a 2-tier structure and is driven by CEOs and Group Functional Heads along with Promoters.
Role & Candidate Profile :
- Technology Strategy Lead
- Ideal Professional for this role would be an MBA in Marketing/Operations/Strategy from Tier I Schools only. Prior to this, s/he should have an engineering education and minimum 5 years experience in engineering work. Ideal age 30-36.
- Work experience in consulting Organizations or world class Conglomerates would be preferred.
Broad role :
- Utilizes technology knowledge, competition benchmarking, market data, industry trend analysis and financial analysis in determining and developing commercial strategy for the various products in different SBUs in AR Group
- Identify new technology opportunities for AR Group and provide detailed understanding to the leadership team.
- Propose M&A and start-up investment opportunities to leadership team
- Identify technology growth opportunities for AR Group current product portfolio and offer guidance to Market Strategy and R&D efforts
- Develop and propose go to market strategies for current product line across regions - in local and global markets, through understanding the technology potential
- Develop and propose Market Strategies for potential new product induction in local and global markets through White Space Analysis
- Develop Financial Models to determine ROI and to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Collaborate with Market Strategy Leader to quickly develop and propose market opportunities for upcoming technologies, M&As and start-up proposals
- Facilitate process and product improvements that support strategies and organizational goals, while building strong cross-functional relationships to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in the process and to manage change initiatives
- Develops and rolls out Benchmarking tools and procedures across the organization
- Support innovation efforts across the organization
- Train Business Analysts who will offer strategy support to individual SBUs
- Exposure to use of Statistical modeling, benchmarking, Tableau, Crystal Ball would be preferable
- Strong acumen and aptitude in understanding new technologies; engineering bent of mind
