Job Title: Lead - Technical Due Diligence/ Lender's Independent Engineer & Monitoring Services

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager with a strong background in Technical Due Diligence, Lender's Independent Engineer (LIE) services, and Monitoring Services to join our growing consulting firm. In this role, you will play a key role in overseeing and delivering high-quality consulting services to construction companies, investors, and financial institutions.


The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in technical assessments, construction project monitoring, and risk management, combined with a deep understanding of the construction industry's regulatory and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Due Diligence:

- Lead and manage technical due diligence assessments for construction projects, including evaluating project feasibility, identifying risks, and assessing technical viability.

- Provide comprehensive technical reports and recommendations to clients (investors, lenders, etc.) to inform decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.

- Analyze project plans, specifications, and designs to identify potential project delays, cost overruns, or quality concerns.

- Assess the technical aspects of construction processes and provide insights on construction methodology, sustainability, and adherence to industry standards.

Lender Independent Engineer (LIE) Services:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients seeking LIE services, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on construction progress and project risks.

- Conduct on-site inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and adherence to timelines and budgets.

- Review and evaluate project financing documents, ensuring that funds are being utilized as intended and that project milestones are met.

- Provide detailed periodic reports on project status, risks, and recommendations for mitigation strategies.

Monitoring Services:

- Provide ongoing monitoring services for construction projects, assessing both the technical and financial aspects.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including construction managers, contractors, and financial institutions.

- Ensure compliance with project budgets, schedules, and safety standards through regular inspections and performance evaluations.

- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to clients, identifying any concerns and suggesting corrective actions.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

- Lead a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and mentorship while ensuring quality and compliance in all deliverables.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop business strategies and growth plans for the consulting division.

- Ensure effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams, including engineers, financial analysts, and legal teams.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in the construction and engineering industries.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED) is a plus.

Experience:

- 8-10 years of experience in technical due diligence, lender independent engineering, and construction project monitoring services, ideally within a consulting or project management environment.

- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, cost estimation, and risk management.

- Proven track record of managing and delivering technical assessments and engineering services for large-scale construction projects.

- Strong familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to construction and engineering.

Skills:

- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and propose effective solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.

- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and inspire junior team members.

- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with lenders, investors, or financial institutions on construction project financing and risk assessments.

- Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices in construction projects.

- Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) and other advanced technologies in construction project management.
