Role Overview:
As a Lead Technical Delivery Manager, your main goal is to oversee and improve the organization's data platforms. This role involves managing and streamlining data delivery processes, improving data integration, and making sure everything operates smoothly across our data systems. You'll collaborate with a skilled team, examining and enhancing existing solutions and leading efforts to automate and streamline workflows. Your work will also involve managing software licenses, handling vendor relationships, and making sure best practices are followed across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Manage analytics projects, aligning with product managers to meet business requirements. Define scope, create delivery plans, and ensure projects are on time and within budget.
- Platform Design and Management: Lead the design and management of data use cases and visualization platforms for optimal performance and user experience.
- Modern Data Platform & Data Delivery: Oversee the data integration and quality management for data requirements on the analytics platform.
- Platform Integration: Ensure data platforms integrate well with other systems like ERP, CRM, and external sources.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with architecture, infrastructure, security, and governance teams to ensure the platform is secure and compliant.
- Data Governance: Set standards for data quality, access control, and compliance with regulations.
- Analytics Enablement: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure platforms support analytics needs.
- Technical Strategy: Plan strategies for platform maintenance and upgrades to keep systems current and effective.
- License Management: Manage software licenses to optimize usage and reduce costs.
- User Adoption: Track user engagement and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support Collaboration: Assist support teams with platform issues, documentation, and training, and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
- Innovation: Keep up with industry trends in data and analytics and introduce new technologies when beneficial.
- Vendor Management: Act as the primary contact for vendors, handling contracts, SLAs, and ensuring organizational needs are prioritized.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the data platform team, fostering a culture of improvement and best practices.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budget for the team and adjust as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
Experience:
- 12-15 years in analytics, especially applying statistical methods to business challenges.
- 5+ years in resource planning and project delivery.
- Strong track record managing data and visualization platforms.
- Experience leading technical projects for platform optimization and upgrades.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Azure analytics platforms (Data Factory, Databricks).
- Experience extracting data from SAP systems using various techniques.
- Knowledge of big data and stream processing.
- Experience with SQL Server, Python, R, and visualization tools (Power BI, QlikSense).
- Familiarity with the Scrum framework.
- Preferred: Experience with SAP Analytics tools.
