Lead - SAP Basis - Shared Services Center

Job Title : SAP BASIS Lead

Location : Mohali, Chandigarh, India

We have implemented a Shared Services Center in Mohali, India to support Global Operations in areas of Finance & Accounting, Trade Operations, Treasury and IT Support, and other back-office support Services.

Dual Reporting Line : Primary to Global Basis Services Manager, Secondary to Local SAP Delivery Lead/IT Head

Main Accountabilities :

- Supporting SAP ERP and Business Warehouse

- Supporting other SAP applications if required (e.g. OpenText)

- Applying SAP Enhancement packages and upgrades.

- Performing system copies.

- Administration of HANA & Oracle databases

- Troubleshooting performance problems considering infrastructure, database, and SAP application server

- Support of SAP printing and file interface infrastructure

- Co-ordination with Functional team, Hyper-Care support, Transport Setup, Performance optimization, Unit Test & Integration test support

- Mentor and support other colleagues and L2 team for L3 Basis delivery

- Managing services SLAs like availability (proactive monitoring), Incident resolutions as per SLAs

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

- Negotiate and communicate with support partners like SAP and Functional partners

- Proactively address problems to prevent them occurring

- Deliver ad hoc project work on time and as requested

- Deliver and lead Basis services and delivery to different worldwide regions

- Communicate with SAP team members, end users and other IT personnel to effectively interpret their requirements and then deliver where the SAP Basis Team are responsible

Key desired Competencies / skills and experience :

- Minimum 12 -15 years in SAP System Admin/NW/Basis Administration/Technical architecting/delivery

- Experience performing SAP Basis administration on SAP ERP and SAP BW instances

- Experience with S/4, C/4, BW/4 HANA Conversion/Upgrade, Migration and OS/DB Conversion Projects

- Experience installing, upgrading, and supporting both SAP ABAP and Java AS installations

- Experience supporting SAP with HANA & Oracle Databases on UNIX

- Experience on SAP Cloud Platform tools, SAP Cloud Connector etc.

- OS/DB/Platform/Cloud Migrations (experience of at least 2 to 3 projects)

- Should understand the key concepts of SAP change management and SAP software logistics

- SAP Enhancement Packages installation

- SAP Basis certified consultants are preferred

- Experience with Service Now and Jira

Experience with any of the following additional SAP modules is desirable:

- SMP, Information Steward, SAP NetWeaver Portal, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Process Integration, SAP GRC, SAP IDM, SAP CPS (Redwood), OpenText

- SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Enterprise Cloud, HANA Enterprise cloud

- Solution Manager 7.2

- NetWeaver 7.4 / 7.5, BW 7.4 / 7.5 and BOBJ 4.2

- SUSE/ Redhat Linux, MAX DB, SYBASE ASE, and HANA

Team handling experience (minimum 8-10)
