FMCG Lead - Retail/Hospitality

- We seek an experienced and strategic professional to lead the FMCG vertical, managing General Trade, Modern Trade, and Online Sales divisions, while also playing a crucial role in developing and launching new products.
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets in General Trade, Modern Trade, and Online Sales channels.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to drive performance and meet sales objectives.
- Establish strong relationships with key accounts and distributors.
Market Expansion:
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence in both traditional and online retail spaces.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behaviour to drive sales growth.
New Product Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market needs and opportunities for new product development.
- Lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative FMCG products.
- Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences and competitor offerings.
Product Launch and Marketing:
- Devise go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Ensure the successful introduction of new products into the market.
Distribution Management:
- Optimize distribution networks to enhance product availability and visibility.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of distributors and sales representatives.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop annual sales budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness in sales operations.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Utilize data and analytics to make informed business decisions.
Qualification & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in FMCG sales leadership, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Experience in new product development and successful product launches.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a high-performance sales team.
- In-depth knowledge of the FMCG industry and market dynamics.
