Our client works as a marketing platform for news publications that helps businesses engage their readers using push notifications. They help their clients to engage their users with relevant conversations across channels through products such as web push notifications, mobile app notifications and messenger notifications. Their main focus is on editors and audience managers to help them with relevant features to drive audience loyalty.

Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, our client was founded in 2016 by an IIT, Bombay graduate. With regards to recognition, they have won NASSCOM Emerge 50 Awards 2020.

As a Sales Lead - India, you will be responsible for driving the planning and implementation of the company's sales strategy among the online media publishers in India.

What you will do:

- Managing a sales funnel and outreach to the publishers, which would include cold outreach as well as inbound leads driven by marketing

- Driving sales opportunities in India among the large enterprise and mid size publishers and also creating new opportunities with existing customers

- Working with cross-functional teams like Account Management, Marketing, Research, and Product Teams to achieve your annual targets

- Creating quarterly strategic and tactical sales plan for the region to achieve aggressive targets and expanding our customer base along with the Business Lead

- Building and managing strong pipeline of prospective customers and providing accurate sales forecast

- Driving key sales strategy components

- Owning and managing end to end sales cycle from lead prospecting to closure

- Educating the customers on the company's value proposition

- Identifying and closing sales opportunities in your designated territory

- Developing new relationships within the publisher ecosystem so as to build a pipeline of potential customers

- Managing your pipeline through CRM Solution used in the organization

- Coordinating with marketing, account management, & product team for customer connects & other initiatives

- Ensuring feedback flow in the system to various teams from the customer

- Creating proposals as per client needs

- Selling the platform to meet the monthly and quarterly targets

- Ensuring 100% discipline to CRM and reporting

Desired Candidate Profile

What you need to have:

- Master's degree in Business Administration or similar field

- 6+ years of overall experience must include minimum of 4+ years of experience in selling to news media publishers

- Selling experience in SaaS or Ad tech products to large media publishers in India

- A good understanding of the Indian Digital Publisher ecosystem and must have experience of working with them

- Good communication skills both verbal and written, with a strong consultative selling approach

- Ability to make cold calls and demonstrate the product in face to face meetings or over a call

- Experience in creating own leads pipeline in previous role

- Experience of talking to CXOs and ability to strike a conversation

- Sound Understanding of the Digital industry - Trends, Up-coming Technology changes

- A track record of working effectively across different internal departments
