Role / Job Title: Risk Lead - PL & Cross Sell

Function/Department: Retail Business Risk

Job Purpose:

This role requires to process, implement, and develop risk strategies for personal loan & cross sell business. The role holder would operate and maintain an effective risk management system by creating a robust risk framework for the business that includes risk identification, assessment, mitigation, tracking and reporting. This helps organizations improve the management of portfolio risks and prevent losses for the business.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Evaluate Product programs/Policies in line with regulatory guidelines and build strong controls to mitigate risks across all spectrums (Onboarding, Credit, Operations, Fraud, Reputation etc.).

- Monitor portfolio delinquencies at a micro level, identification of segments, locations and profiles which are delinquent.

- Assure adherence to the guidelines set by the bank.

- Facilitate implementation of technological interventions like scorecards, digital journeys and automation to streamline processes.

- Shape the risk appetite of the product in line with growth objectives and Risk Appetite framework of the bank alongside risk based pricing.

- Use analytics for tracking portfolio performance trends.

- Serve as a policy expert and conduct trainings when needed.

- Prepare monthly newsletter - snapshot of Portfolio performance, monthly acquisition trend, quality of portfolio and trigger monitoring.

- Capture and share best- practice knowledge amongst the team.

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Recommend improvements to processes and policies across the Retail Banking business to drive operational efficiencies and high quality customer service.

- Leverage in-house synergies through collaboration with internal stakeholders.

- Keep abreast with global market trends and competitor strategies in key markets.

Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities:

- Monitor key parameters on productivity, hiring quality and costs via maintaining relevant scorecards.

- Build, groom and retain top-class talent pool to enable high levels of process efficiencies.

- Attract and retain best-in-class talent for key roles in their reporting structure.
