Designation: Sr Manager

I. Position Summary

- Responsible for leading a team of Product consultants guiding them to understand and translate business requirements into product specifications

- Conversant with T24 functionality with more than 5 years of experience on T24 Financial Accounting module

- Spearhead the competency across multiple accounts/geographies

- Working closely with the project teams and providing functional/domain consultancy related to product functionalities, and Interface between the product vendors and customers to drive product gap closure

- Responsible for multiple project, complete delivery responsibility of the project from an offshore perspective

- Responsible for all aspects of project planning, estimation, tracking and execution of the project, in order to ensure both timely and high quality delivery

- Provide consultancy during product configuration, installation, up-gradation, migration, releases, patches, etc.

II. Key Result Areas

- Actively lead knowledge and competence development

- Provide knowledge and functional leadership, and benchmark best practices

- Spearhead the competency across multiple accounts/geographies and guide competency development initiatives

- Actively lead business development activities

- Achieve budgeted revenue and profitability targets

- Complete delivery ownership of all projects in the respective product space.

- Manage employee satisfaction, performance, employee development and retention

III. Typical Responsibilities

Business / Customer

- Actively engage with the product vendors in pursuing opportunities, building competencies, addressing product gaps and driving alliance relationships

- Pursue and respond to RFPs and RFIs

- Build solution enablers for customers based on requirements

- Keep abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, technological advances/product releases to incorporate appropriate changes in the consulting/service offering framework

- Participate in business development meetings and client meetings to “sell solutions”

- Work with account managers and client partners to support lead generation and business development activities

- Participate in steering committee meetings

- Interface with the client organization to provide updates and address queries

Project / Process

- Monitor the delivery mechanisms set up for various projects

- Manage project milestones for all the projects in the product space

- Review project progress of the different engagements

- Identify risks and build mitigation plans for engagements

- Track the projects through regular reviews and ensure that status updates are sent out to the customer

- Prepare monthly management reports to track time and effort for the projects

- Ensure/monitor project compliance with respect to audit findings

- Provide guidance to the competency team on a need basis

- Institutionalize and drive knowledge management processes across the product space

- Drive end to end product implementations involving interaction with multiple stakeholders

People / Team

- Implement and anchor key HR processes for the team - performance management, promotions, normalization of the team ratings and recommendations on rewards

- Plan for resource requirements, (hardware/software and human resources) based on the budget and business needs

- Manage and motivate performance / development of the team through reviews, coaching, mentoring and development

- Build a second line for all key roles and persons

- Ensure that training needs of the team are identified and met

- Participate in recruitment initiatives

- Facilitate knowledge sharing and capture within as well as across teams

- Participate in organizational initiatives

- Manage the retention of employees through motivation and other initiatives

IV. Degree of Independence/Supervision required

- Requires minimal supervision on the job: Independently works under broad guidelines and follows principles of project management and quality guidelines when designing and implementing a solution; refers to supervisor typically for exceptions

Independent decision areas:

- Reviews estimates and approves project plan

- Approval for change requests (in some projects)

- People decisions: Appraisal ratings, R&R recommendations, promotion recommendations, leave approvals

V. Team Management Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage multiple accounts

- Manage a team of 15 to 30 members

- Direct Reports: 3-6 Product Consultants

VI. Qualification:

- Education: Engineering Graduate / MBA / Professional Degree / Post Graduate or any other equivalent qualification; PMP certification preferable

- Minimum Relevant Work Experience required: 12-14 years with at least 4-6 years of experience on T24 Financial Accounting module
