Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in the food industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing key commodities such as whey, cocoa, and dry fruits. The role requires a keen understanding of the market dynamics, supplier management, and cost optimization strategies to ensure the continuous supply of high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities:

Commodity Sourcing:

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for whey, cocoa, and dry fruits.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

- Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers.

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Market Analysis:

- Conduct market research to stay updated on commodity trends, prices, and supply chain risks.

- Provide insights and forecasts to support strategic purchasing decisions.

Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.

- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels.

Quality Assurance:

- Ensure all purchased commodities meet the company's quality standards.

- Work with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues with suppliers.

Cost Optimization:

- Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing and efficient procurement processes.

- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.

Supplier Performance Management:

- Evaluate supplier performance based on key metrics such as quality, delivery time, and cost.

- Conduct regular supplier reviews and address any performance issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance.
