Lead/Principal - Equity Research Analyst - Long Short - Global Technology & Enterprise Software

We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our client's Financial Research group based in Hyderabad.

Lead/ Principal Equity Research Analyst - Long Short (Global Technology & Enterprise Software)

This group works closely with the front office to provide high quality and in-depth support to the investment research and decision processes of the Firm's global proprietary trading strategies.

The candidate will work with portfolio managers and analysts in the fundamental equities investment teams of the Firm.

Primary responsibilities include:

- Supporting detailed modelling of company financials;

- Conducting complete valuation, operational, peer group, and sensitivity analysis;

- Developing and maintaining financial models;

- Undertaking research coverage for specific companies and sectors;

- Liaising frequently with front office groups to iterate on financial models and investment theses;

- Attending management/intermediary/sector expert calls;

- Developing industry sector expertise;

- Aiding front office data analysis efforts by collaborating closely with the firm's technology development teams;

The ideal candidate should have

- An MBA in finance or equivalent qualification with

- 5-10 years of experience in financial modelling, valuation, fundamental equity research, and analysis in global financial markets, along with

- Excellent communication skills.

Experience in equity research within the Enterprise Software space is REQUIRED though we are open to candidates with research experience within the broader Global Technology space.

Some who has tracked companies in the space of Enterprise Software, SaaS, Large Cap Software firms, PC OEM, Handset OEM, Networking, Semiconductor equipments, Memory/ Storage, Home building, Consumer electronics, LED/ LCD Panels etc; would be IDEAL.
