Lead - Powertrain Virtual Engineering - Auto

Powertrain Virtual Engineering lead (Middle Management) with a leading Automotive Giant

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute virtual analysis plans for regional powertrain programs.

- Build and lead the team to support regional powertrain integration programs.

- Powertrain integration activities planning and support.

- Provide technical direction to the teams for virtual engineering ( durability, NVH ).

- Identify needs for competency development and make plans for improving team competency

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor or Master degree or MBA in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university;

- Minimum of 12+ years of automotive / powertrain experience in one of the following areas:

- Durability simulation for powertrain components

- NVH simulation for powertrain components

- Other simulation technologies for powertrain development

- Powertrain adaptation experience.

- Must have good knowledge of FEA and powertrain system fundamentals.

- Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written)

- Required experience: Durability and/or NVH analysis of automotive components using ABAQUS and /or Nastran. Knowledge of Fatigue analysis and tools is an added advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

- 10-12 years of OEM/ Powertrain manufacturer or large tier 1 experience

- Excellent relationship building skills.

- Ability to productively manage change

- Must be able to work independently

Working experience with international clients / locations will be preferred.
