Role/Job Title : Lead Policy - Home Loans

Function/ Department : Retail Risk

Job Purpose :

- The role holder has the responsibility to review performance of Home Loans portfolio and continuously monitor risk across the portfolio.

- The role holder is resposnisble to review the acquision and portfolio management policies and ensuring the growth of portfolio in right direction within the Risk appetite of the bank.

- The role includes interacting and coordinating with all the control functions and respective stakeholders of the Bank like Business Risk/ Product/ Audit/ Analytics / Operations/Technology for effective and efficient delivery and controls of project and process within specific timeliness.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Position with retail risk team under CRO vertical, with reporting to Risk Head - Home Loans or equivalent.

- Understanding of retail loan products, especially Home Loans/ Affordable Home Loans/LAP - preferred experience in Underwriting / Policy / Risk teams.

- Data crunching abilities. Detailed knowledge of portfolio review basis nature/market and features of product and ability to understand stress segment.

- Setting ups of risk thresholds for the assigned products within the overall risk appetite of the bank, in coordination with business teams based on yearly projections and budgets.

- Risk reporting of portfolio and breaches to thresholds set product wise. Ability to analyze reasons of portfolio performance and enact on corrective measures appropriately.

- Vetting policy proposition and approving policy modifications based on merits and associated credit risk.

- Understanding of credit scoring models and work with stakeholders to strategize model deployment.

- Proactive engagement with counterparties / stakeholders for fruitful discussion and execution of risk practices.

- Regular monitoring of the portfolio performance on early risk indicators/ TTD trends / Segment Mix for assessment of impact of the policy changes.

- Willing to work on complex data for meaningful insights to enable risk assessment and decision.
