MUST HAVE:
- PMP or Prince 2 Trained or Certified
- Strong knowledge of Managing Infrastructure projects
- Experience in waterfall and agile project management
Job Description:
This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, and collaborating with other department leaders to develop projects and programs. The PMO Lead should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and should be well organized and able to work under pressure.
The responsibility of this role will be:
- Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
- Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
- Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
- Providing financial reports and budget outlines to Executives.
- Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
- Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
- Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
- Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques & tools
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Manage any third-party vendors ensuring quality services and timely delivery
- Mobilize the project teams to work together effectively, accurately and delivers are onetime throughout the projects
- Manage change within the business with minimal impact on operational effectiveness
- Support regional teams with training on systems and ensure adequate knowledge transfer.
- Drive project meetings and facilitate large group discussions, capture actions and monitor activity completion through active delivery management
- Drive process efficiency by promoting increased integration of business systems with finance and other systems
- Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
- Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
