Lead, Planning
Minimum qualifications :
- Degree in a technical, quantitative, or business field, or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking/private equity/venture capital, corporate strategy, PnL ownership of growth stage business units, or equivalent experience in a technology company.
- Experience with stakeholder management and influencing leadership decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work and partner across multiple functions in an organization.
Preferred qualifications :
- MBA or Master's degree.
- Experience in operating model strategy to execution in a technology business.
- Experience building and leading operational and strategic initiatives, running multiple projects or work-streams simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating with product, sales, marketing and operations teams to define cross-functional plans for sequencing tasks and meeting objectives.
- Solid communication skills, including the ability to take complex, ambitious topics and create compelling narratives for different audiences.
- Basic proficiency at SQL.
- As the 'Lead, Planning, you will be setting the strategic business vision, collaborating with leadership on building a plan that delivers the vision and driving execution against the plan. You will also drive strategic initiatives that enable step jumps towards achieving key financial and operational goals from the plan.
Key responsibilities include :
- Strategy: Work closely with leadership and finance to build our business strategy and develop a budget to address business opportunities and priorities - optimizing for yield on budget allocated by business unit / product / functions
- Planning: Work with regional and functional teams to distil the budget to annual and quarterly plans - further bifurcated by financial and operational metrics and goals to be delivered
- Execution: Drive delivery against plan through proactive governance and by enabling stakeholders through strategic projects, insights, analytics, reporting and advisory
- Scale: Collaborate with the analytics team to build and communicate detailed reporting models to assist business unit and product level efforts, and make decisions based on data
- Program/Project Management: Complete strategic programs and projects, usually related to revenue growth or devising response strategies to competitors
- Competitive intelligence: Ensure strategy and plan are dynamic and responsive to competitive realities, build reporting framework to harness intelligence and report business success from a competitive lens
- Pricing: Own product, market and segment level pricing - solving for revenue growth, profitability and competitive strategy
