Job Purpose :

To drive, manage and implement Performance Management Systems and Job Analysis & Evaluation processes, practices, guidelines, and policies across company Plant & Corporate. The position will report to Business CoE (BCoE) - JAE, Performance & Rewards.

The major long term challenges are to take proactive steps towards Rewards, JAE, PMS, integration of Group and Business systems / processes across Units under the three businesses.

- Facilitating seamless, consistent and accurate two-way communication and implementation of multiple portfolios at the corporate level and multiple at units/plants across India, Thailand, Germany, USA & China.

- The high priority issues of Chemicals, Insulators and VFY are usually unique to each business and often have to be addressed simultaneously.

- The Chemicals Business is based out of multiple countries. People from each of these countries follow their own culture, norms, language and have different level or understanding. The incumbent in this position needs sensitivity to deal with these differences.

- Managing coordination of multiple assignments, processes and keep an overview of ongoing portfolio timelines, tracking completion and pointing out overlaps/gaps

Job Analysis and Evaluation (JAE) :

- Planning and conducting Job Analysis & Evaluation (JAE) exercise for the Business as well reviewing the current jobs periodically and preparing the JDs as and when required. Ensure that all jobs are properly evaluated and graded, and evaluation scores are updated on HRMS System.

- Studying of job descriptions and structures

- Study of comparable positions in other businesses, within the CFI, peer positions in the unit

- Assessment of recommended Job Band and defining Hay configurations for the same

- Preparation of analysis formats for positions to be evaluated

- Review re-organization proposals and make recommendations based on job design changes.

Performance Management

Lead end to end management of performance management cycles including goal setting, mid-year performance review and end year performance review, performance rating normalisation with senior management. Taking initiatives to build a culture of high performance. Ensure readiness of HRMS system for carrying the process and conduct surveys to assess quality of appraisal conversation.

- Work with Business on performance analysis and interventions to build high performance culture.

- Taking initiatives and driving interventions for improving and monitoring the quality of Goal Setting, Performance Improvement Plan, appropriateness of metrics, standards of performance.

- Undertake Goal Audits with support from Unit HRs

Support in implementing Group JAE & PMS policies & guidelines at the business & unit level.

- Facilitating implementation of uniform quality of processes across all units.

- Align unit level practices with BCoE on an ongoing basis.

- Inputs to BCoE on business requirements and providing feedback on ongoing processes & policies.
