Lead - Mergers & Acquisition:

We are seeking an experienced M&A individual to join our team and lead the scouting and due diligence process for mergers and acquisitions within the specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical and Agri business sectors.

Qualification and experience:

- Master's degree in Management - Finance/Economics, or a related field - advanced preferred. For candidates from IIM's, the number of years of experience can be less.

- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or agri business industries.

- In-depth knowledge of techno-commercial aspects and market dynamics within the specified sectors.

- Strong financial analysis, valuation, and modelling skills, with a demonstrated ability to evaluate complex transactions.

- Proficient in using relevant tools and software for market research, financial analysis, and presentation creation.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal teams, external advisors, and potential targets.

- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage and guide cross-functional teams during deal execution.

- Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently within tight deadlines.

Job description (indicative only):

- The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of minimum 5 years in conducting successful M&A deals in these industries, along with a strong combination of techno-commercial knowledge, self-drive, and excellent analytical skills.

- The individual will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets, engaging with consultants and bankers for fundraising and ensuring the seamless execution of M&A transactions.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee the end-to-end process of identifying, evaluating, and executing mergers and acquisitions within the specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical, and Agri business sectors.

- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets, considering market dynamics, growth potential, and strategic fit.

- Perform rigorous due diligence on identified companies, including financial analysis, valuation, risk assessment, and assessment of operational and strategic synergies.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and strategy, to assess and negotiate deal terms, structure, and integration plans.

- Prepare detailed investment memoranda, financial models, and presentations to support senior management and stakeholders in decision-making.

- Engage and manage relationships with external advisors, investment bankers, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process.

- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape within the specialty chemicals, pharma, and Agri business sectors.
