Instructional Design Lead / Instructional Design Manager

Purpose of job:

- To research, analyze, design, develop and customize instructional material for both e-learning and instructor led training for programmes as well as BAU courses.

- Should apply various instructional strategies, models and theory to content. The post-holder will adapt, simplify and co-ordinate this and existing content so that it is easily accessible for all new starts.

- To enable a blended learning and multi-channel (including eLearning) delivery approach to ensure colleagues receive high quality and engaging learning experiences which build measurable long term skills and capabilities that deliver overall improvements in the finance function's performance.

- The post holder will work closely with the Global Process Owners, Governance team and other relevant stakeholders to achieve this.

Accountabilities, Responsibilities, & Main duties:

- E learning materials design and development

- Work with Project Managers / SMEs to ensure that clear training / course needs are established and effective planning and delivery of (e-learning) learning experiences are delivered on time and to the pre-defined success factors as agreed with SMEs / Project Manager

- Write and review storyboards and rapid prototyping content and functionality

- Factor in usability and accessibility requirements

- Review existing digital and non-digital content and ensure its ease of use and access.

- Gather subject matter expert information from multiple sources and ensures all learning interventions meet the needs

- Build in useable data collection approaches to monitor usage of all e-learning content

- Maintain web based resources (HR Learning portal , How to Guides and e-learning modules) in a user-friendly manner.

- Keep stakeholders up to date with project progress, request sign-offs at appropriate stages, hosting post release review meetings

- Ensure the developed content meet the learning objectives and identify ways to monitor the same

- Bring in industry best practices in the organization

Key activities:

- Responsible for scoping, conceptualization, and development of digital learning assets and managing projects for K-12 products as well as higher ed course modules

- Storyboarding

- Scripting for course modules

- Checking content plagiarism

- Drafting scripts/storyboards for video development / animations

- Produce new content as required for Training

- Ensure content is available to be piloted and revisions to content are made within given timescales

- Use the appropriate tools (Captivate, Camtasia and Articulate or other e-learning software) to produce efficient and effective e-learning materials

- Use image editing tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator to create and edit images - OR assist the GDs (graphic Designers) to extract/create your desired assets

- Use instructional design principles to script, storyboard and deploy effective e-learning

Skills & Knowledge :

- Expert user of the following or similar tools in the production of learning materials: Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Articulate or Go Animate (or a willingness to achieve a high level of competence within 12 months) and a competent user of the other tools.

- Knowledge or experience of Audacity or Adobe Audition audio recording software or similar.

- Competent user of MS office especially teams, PowerPoint & word

- Competent user of web-based training tools such as zoom, WebEx and yammer or wiki forums.

- Competent user and knowledge of Success Factor Learning Management Systems or similar LMS's

Experience: Overall experience of 10+ years in ID/training including hands-on in designing learning materials for a range of technical or business process situations
