Currently we are looking for
"Logistics Lead" for a leading chemical manufacturing MNC.
Job Location: MumbaiJob Purpose: The Logistics Lead - India Center is responsible for building, guiding, coaching, and directing a team in India that executes multiple back-office logistics processes. They must ensure perfect compliance, a high level of service, and operational continuity at a highly competitive cost.
Key Accountabilities:1. Recruiting and managing a local team to execute logistics tasks
2. Managing contingent labor and/or services to support logistics tasks
3. Conducting various logistics activities such as freight audit and pay, purchase order management, customs and regulatory data collection, shipping document verification and transmission, and executing SAP operational transactions
4. Supporting the regional Logistics Support Desks
5. Generating reports and data for KPIs and analysis
6. Facilitating corporate closing and SOx compliance shipment and cost data collection
7. Providing administrative supervision of all India Center employees conducting logistics tasks
8. Ensuring the development of a strong operating discipline system
9. Ensuring India Center activities align with global Logistics, ISC, and Corporate priority plans and strategies
Key Activities:1. Employee supervision
2. Establishing and improving metrics to measure productivity, quality, and cost
3. Monitoring and benchmarking external market offerings
4. Identifying and recommending potential process improvements
5. Leading root cause analysis of compliance, service, or other failures
6. Leading and modeling values
Experiences:1. Minimum 10 years of logistics, international trade, trade compliance, and transportation
2. Management experience
3. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
4. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in communicating with a diverse stakeholder population
5. Strong working knowledge of SAP, systems, and programs specific to logistics, and data analysis and reporting tools.
