Lead - Learning & Development


Position Overview:


As the Lead - Learning & Development, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the learning and development programs within the organization. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and competencies of employees to drive individual and organizational growth. Your primary focus will be on creating a culture of continuous learning and development, aligning with the company's strategic goals and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Strategy Development:

- Collaborate with senior leadership and HR teams to identify learning needs and create a comprehensive learning and development strategy.

- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the skill gaps and training requirements across various departments and employee levels.

- Develop a long-term vision for learning initiatives that align with the organization's overall objectives.

Training Program Design and Delivery:

- Design and deliver effective training programs, both in-person and online, to address specific learning needs and promote skill development.

- Utilize various instructional techniques, such as workshops, e-learning modules, simulations, and blended learning approaches, to cater to different learning styles.

- Implement best practices and innovative methodologies to enhance the impact of training sessions.

Content Development and Curation:

- Create and curate engaging and relevant learning materials, resources, and course content to support various training programs.

- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of learning materials.

- Regularly update and refresh content to reflect the latest industry trends and best practices.

Learning Technology and Platforms:

- Stay updated with the latest learning technologies and tools, and implement learning management systems (LMS) or other platforms for seamless training delivery.

- Monitor the effectiveness of learning technologies and make data-driven decisions to optimize the learning experience.

Performance Evaluation and Feedback:

- Establish metrics to measure the impact of learning and development programs on employee performance and organizational goals.

- Conduct evaluations and gather feedback to assess the effectiveness of training programs, making necessary improvements as required.

Employee Development Plans:

- Collaborate with managers and team leaders to develop personalized learning and development plans for employees, based on individual performance and career aspirations.

- Provide coaching and mentoring support to employees to aid their professional growth.

Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure that learning and development programs adhere to regulatory requirements and compliance standards.

- Prepare and present regular reports on the effectiveness of training initiatives to senior management.

Talent Development Initiatives:

- Identify high-potential employees and create talent development programs to nurture their skills and prepare them for leadership roles.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing learning and development programs.

- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and learning methodologies.

- Familiarity with learning management systems and other e-learning platforms.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with various stakeholders.

- Analytical mindset to measure the impact and effectiveness of training initiatives.

- Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide a team of learning professionals.
