Lead - Investment Operations

Position: Investment Operations Lead.

Summary :

Skills Required : NAV and performance returns for investment accounts & products, PMS & AIF.

Location: Mumbai.

Experience range: 5+ years.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Investment Accounting & Valuations:

- Oversee the NAV and performance returns for investment accounts & products.

- Oversee computing and processing of all accounting activities for all clients across products (PMS, AIF, Advisory) (income, expense, fees, incentive commissions, fees and charges etc).

- Analysis of a variety of activities including internal investment activity, cash management, and external stakeholders.

- Monitor all types of investors, compliance, and business reporting, and support in resolving investor queries as needed.

Operations:

- Oversight on various pre & post trading processes that support core trading across trade lifecycle.

- Ensure smooth settlement of executed trades by liaison with custodian and broker back-office.

Cash and Margin management:

- Multi-party reconciliation in cash, securities, and other holdings.

Compliance:

- Verify & monitor preparation and submission of all types of compliance reporting for all types of managed products.

- Perform deep due diligence & governance as prescribed in the processes.

- Draft, review and launch Standard Operating Procedures (SoP's) for internal processes.

- Oversee all types of audits across various investment products.

- Design and lead transformational projects for internal processes.

- Team management: Lead, mentor and drive team of highly capable analysts.

- Education Requirements : Master's or professional degree (MBA, CA, CFA).

Skills & Experience:

- 5+ years of fund accounting / middle office operations experience in portfolio management services (PMS) / Alternative, Investment Funds (AIF) / Hedge Funds / Mutual Funds.

Domain skills:

- Strong knowledge of Indian Equities - Corporate actions, trade life cycle clearing, settlement processes and regulatory environment.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles as per Indian Accounting Standards / IVCA/ IFRS/ GAAP.

- Experience in investment accounting software (Wealth Spectrum/MILES etc).

- Experience with NSDL Steady system would be an advantage.

- Expertise of accounting & taxation concepts in PMS & AIF.

- Familiar with PMS & AIF Compliance reporting & handling audit exercises.

- Experience with GIFT compliances will be an advantage.
