Lead - Insurance Placement
Responsibilities:
- Handle all insurer relationships.
- Understand client requirements and work with insurer partners to design group and retail products.
- Design product features, inclusions and exclusions, negotiate pricing, commercials and terms and conditions.
- Execute commercial agreements with insurers ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Evaluating the business risk and identifying viable insurance markets, both life and general insurance.
- Interact with key stakeholders to understand their concerns and identify improvement areas.
- Preparing and completing submission information in consultation with client-facing colleagues.
- Performing follow-ups with insurance companies for the completion of the submission and underwriting process and highlighting the unique characteristics of each risk.
- Business awareness and industry knowledge.
- Guide and update management regarding all regulatory matters.
- Mentor and lead team member.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in the Insurance industry.
- Insurance professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of the insurance market.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate extensive experience handling life and general insurance programs with an understanding of the insurance act.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, consultative selling, advising, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of risk management and ability to persuade others to follow best practices
