Position Overview:
Cairn Oil and Gas seeks an experienced Lead IR and Stakeholder Manager for it's Ravva site in Andhra Pradesh. This role involves overseeing industrial relations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering relationships with stakeholders, including local communities and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Industrial Relations:
- Manage union negotiations, labour disputes, and labour grievances.
- Develop strategies to minimize industrial disputes and ensure smooth site operations.
- Work with HR and operations to handle wage disputes and contractor relations.
- Handle legal issues, including litigation and compliance violations, to protect the company's interest.
- Collaborate with the HSE team to enforce regulations, prevent incidents, and manage risks.
- Address safety or environmental concerns to maintain stakeholder trust.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and environmental groups.
- Coordinate and support to align the CSR initiatives with community needs and company goals.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to prevent conflicts and secure support for site activities.
- Monitor KPIs related to industrial relations and stakeholder management, providing updates to senior management.
- Analyse data to identify risks and opportunities, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Promote an inclusive work environment and address challenges to ensure workplace harmony.
- Engage with local communities on land use, environmental impact, and resource allocation.
- Develop crisis management plans and act as the primary contact for media and public relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- At least 12 years of experience in industrial relations, HR, or stakeholder management, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, HSE regulations, and environmental compliance, with excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
