Job description :

- India-based Human Resource Lead, you will play a critical role in managing the company's talent.


- The HR Lead will be responsible in designing and finalizing the HR policies, contributing to business strategy, develop workforce plans and programs that align with the organization's overall strategic objectives, forecast talent needs and address the talent gaps, orchestrate learning skills and career development of the workforce, employee orientation, education, and training, management development, employee and labor relations, affirmative action compliance, policies and procedures, workers compensation administration, wage and salary administration, benefits administration, organization development, and employee assistance.

- This role requires taking on end-to-end ownership of HR processes, and comfort managing HR metrics and data.


- This individual will also need to be able to build trusting relationships, use critical thinking, ethical practices and effective communication to provide recommendations and drive change.


- While the position will be based in India and will focus primarily on India HR issues, the role will also support broader global HR processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

- Focus on strategic HR outcomes to meet the needs of future.

- Build and operationalize an HR plan that includes operations, compliance, policies, practices, recruitment plan and performance review parameters for the near- and long-term.

- Provide guidance with employee relations issues, including performance issues, disciplinary actions and terminations, employee conflicts, policy violations, etc.

- Manage the off-boarding process, including conducting exit interviews and identifying trends and/or solutions to improve employee retention.

- Gather, analyze and report HR data and trends to determine organizational needs, facilitate decision making and provide unique, proactive solutions. Includes the ability to navigate and pull reports from BambooHR (HRIS system).

- Collaborate with functional heads to understand specific aspirations and training needs of individual members, and devise training modules.

- Investigate employee issues and complaints and make recommendations to resolve issues to ensure timely and appropriate actions are taken.

- Stay up to date with local labor law changes to mitigate risk.

- Maintain highly confidential employee information and documents.

- Develop and maintain administrative documentation related to HR activities, streamlining compliance, payroll, and people database.

- Ensure harmony and uniformity across all locations for talent management, goal setting, training and performance appraisals.

- Proactive involvement in identifying gaps in talent management activities and in taking relevant actions to address them.

Must-have requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business related required.

- Prior experience working at a startup and building policies from ground up.

- Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.

- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular).

Preferred requirements :

- MBA from a top B-school.

- Strong sense of urgency, organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Capability of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action.

- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to take initiative and seek solutions independently.

- Flexibility to adjust in a growing, changing environment.
