Our client is a pet-care focused digital aggregator across various categories such as food, accessories, toys and grooming essentials. Their focus segment is the rapidly increasing community of pet parents. They offer expert-led online pet care consultation, training and healthcare services and products for dogs and cats, covering the lifecycle of a pet acting as a one stop shop. It is headquartered in Bangalore and was co-founded by startup veterans of whom 2 are IIM-Lucknow alumni and one is a Chartered Accountant. Our venture capital-backed client is funded by tier 1 investors and has raised approx. $3.5 mn in funding.

As a HR Lead, you will be responsible for managing HR programs across the company - from recruiting and onboarding to performance management and compensation. The role will involve working, side-by-side, with our employees to foster a positive environment and make sure the company's mission and goals are effectively implemented.

What you will do :

- Recruiting and retaining the workforce in each department

- Training and development - emphasis on quality, compensation process; monitoring and making improvements as required

- Implementing and creating of HR policies, employee engagement activities and programs to improve morale and interpersonal relationships

- Preparing periodic reports for management with recommendations and trends

- Ensuring employee safety, wellness, welfare, health and dealing with employee grievances

Desired Candidate Profile

What you need to have:

- Bachelors in a relevant field of study, Master's Degree (Optional but preferred) in relevant disciplines

- At least 3 years of experience working as an HR lead or in a similar position preferred

- Comfort with working in a startup environment

- Team spirit and interpersonal skills
