Lead - Payroll & Retirals
Functional Reporting: Sr. Manager - Rewards Designation: LeadPayroll & Retirals Location: Mumbai
Administrative Reporting: Same as above
Role Purpose :
This position is responsible for leading all Payroll, Retirals & Budget related activity as well as assist in critical projects. This role will be critical in coordinating with all internal stakeholder including finance for HR budgeting and reconciliation, HRBP and employees for grievance resolution, and compliance teams etc.
Areas Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities :
Key Deliverables:
- Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
- Administer benefit plans
- Compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
- Handling Internal (Employees) & External (Vendor / Govt.) Stakeholders
- Preparation and finalization of HR Budget
Key Activities Payroll & MIS :
- Responsible for Payroll of 1200 employees (BC:350 + WC:850)
- MIS - Occupancy, Tracking, Staff Costs, GL code reconciliation
- Compensation Benchmarking
- HR Budget preparation & tracking
- Filing of tax returns, Form 24 duly reconcilied with Form 16
- Monthly deposit of PF/EPF/SA/GR/Pension Scheme
- Manage and implement annual pay review process accurately and within budget constraints
Retirals :
- Settlements of PF/EPS, Gratuity, etc.
- Dealing with RPFC
- Finalisation of Trust Balance sheet
- Filling of Anual returns
- Managing the entire trust investment & fund management
Rewards :
- Annual merit increase exercise and Bonus payouts
- Market benchmarking; peer group selection
- Policy Compliance
- Responsible for managing people costs within Budget
Routines :
- prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- prepare and review payroll account reconciliations
- maintain accurate account balances
- review and improve payroll policies and procedures
- ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
- support all internal and external audits related to payroll
- interpret new legislation impacting payroll
