Head Total Rewards will be responsible for overseeing the compensation and benefits of the organization and setting policies for administering the same. He/She should analyze compensation data as practiced within the industry and evaluates job positions to determine classification and salary to attain a premium position in the market. She will administer employee insurance, pension and savings plans and work with insurance brokers. He/She will look after both cash and non cash awards and design spot reward schemes to improve employee morale and assist in evaluation. He/She should be knowledgeable of existing tax structures and legislations and company HR policies and work processes and devise benefit schemes to provide maximum benefit to the employees. He/She should also suggest differential structures to develop continuous upskilling and a culture of merit in the organization. He/She should work within the employee cost budget and devise participative planning of compensation where possible. Key Responsibilities : General and Task Management : - Develop and implement total reward strategy, including maintaining pay scale ranges, salary benchmarking, benefits management and annual compensation reviews - Develop Comp budgets, maintain manpower costs and wage cost estimates including bonuses, promotions, salary correction, increment etc. - Ensure compensation plans comply with local labour laws &amp; legislations eg minimum wage act, payment of bonus act etc - Align the compensation philosophy and execution to business plans and objectives to drive profitability - Carry out wage cost estimate including Transfers, Bonuses, Overtime, Promotion Salary correction keeping in mind the above - Participate in market research and be competitive to ensure that the company attracts talent at the right compensation - Create variable pay structure linked to unit and individual performance - Advise on Employee pyramid and span of control to ensure that the ratios are well maintained with internal churn, train and deploy and job movements - Ensure grades salary bands titles are aligned keeping in mind the growth of the company - Build compensation breakups and elements to give maximum benefit to the employees - Design Perks for officers where applicable. Maintain market leadership - Design non-cash rewards for employees with a view to maximize benefit and improve lifestyle - Design soft loans for Employees - Advise to carry out Job Evaluations and create and maintain Evaluation points. - Participate in Union negotiations and advise on settlement - Advise on promotion cycles and promotion numbers - Develop compensation Workbench approach where possible. - Set goals and achieve world class certifications in practices. - Implement complete digitization of HR processes with least queuing time. - Build in a culture of Ethical meritocracy based work processes Key Requirements : - Ability to understand future compensation trends in HR and future proof processes - Ability to work across multiple areas of HR and Production Process - Ability to lead and manage change ( dealing with ambiguity ) - Able to work as part of a team - Able to work on own initiative - Able to manage difficult projects within time and cost budget - Ability to introduce/redesign/remove initiatives with least impact - Understanding of production processes - Understanding of Local laws and Union processes
