Lead/ Head Fundraising for a Leading Philanthropic Institution

This position reports directly to the CEO/ Chairman of the Foundation, and the Fundraising team will report into him/ her.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Strategy and Innovation: Lead initiatives to create and execute innovative fundraising strategies, including promoting new opportunities and upselling causes to potential donors to drive the growth of the Endowment Fund corpus.

HNWIs Relationship Building, Corporate Partnership and Engagement:

- Identify, prospect, and develop long-term relationships with Corporates and High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) globally.

- Lead strategies to engage Corporate and HNWIs in the institution's ecosystem and foster a culture of fundraising.

- Act as the primary point of contact for Corporate & HNWIs, facilitating engagement, negotiating Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and ensuring the execution of agreed terms.

- Monitor the implementation of contributions and agreements, resolving issues as they arise.

Donor Prospecting and Wealth Assessment:

- Create Prospecting Blueprint, conduct wealth assessments, profile potential donors, and engage them in contribution opportunities.

- Maintain dossiers to monitor their life trajectories and identify donation prospects.

CRM and Data Management:

- Ensure team updates CRM systems and trackers with detailed notes after each donor interaction, ensuring transparency and data accuracy for ongoing relationship management and strategy formulation.

- Adapt and apply CRM tools and processes to improve efficiency.

Transparency and Execution:

- Ensure the transparent execution of MOUs and agreements with various institution's offices, monitoring timelines and adherence to terms.

- Proactively resolve potential concerns by collaborating with leadership and relevant offices.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with faculty, departments and other stakeholders to ensure seamless donor interactions and the fulfilment of our commitments.

Leadership and Reporting:

- Mentors & grooms the fundraising team and provide regular updates to the reporting manager and senior leadership, escalating concerns when necessary and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Candidate Profile Requirements:

- Minimum 15 Years' experience, out of which minimum 8 Years' leadership experience

- Core background of sales, vertical P&L management or fundraising and outreach with exposure to HNI banking/ Wealth Management OR with leading Philanthropic. Organizations, Universities, Non-profits or Social impact organizations.

- Ability to strategize and create fundraising plans.

- Exposure to interacting with International / Global Target Audiences will be an added advantage.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Preferably from a premier engineering college or a B School.

- Proven ability to lead a team and to meet and manage the Allocated targets.

- Proven experience in dealing with product designing, program management, stakeholder management, go-to-market strategy etc, to support fundraising efforts.
