We are looking for a Lead- Government Affairs for a Global Pharmaceutical MNC
Location: New Delhi
Experience: 10+ years in government and corporate affairs for a Pharmaceutical MNC
As the Lead for Government Affairs in Biopharmaceuticals, you will play a crucial role in fostering collaborations with policymakers, patient advocacy groups, healthcare experts, and other partners. Your primary focus will be to eliminate barriers to quality care, ensuring timely access to treatments for patients and enhancing healthcare systems.
Responsibilities:
Policy Development and Implementation:
- Develop and execute policy shaping and patient activation partnerships for Biopharmaceutical disease areas.
- Collaborate with commercial and medical teams to identify and address barriers in the patient pathway.
- Drive the delivery of policy shaping and patient activation programs to achieve positive outcomes for patients.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate strong external relationships and partnerships with policymakers, patient advocacy groups, clinical experts, and professional societies.
- Maximize the impact of partnerships, media efforts, and medical evidence generation to advance policy and advocacy goals.
Leadership and Representation:
- Brief senior leaders on Biopharmaceutical objectives and represent organizational interests to external partners.
- Collaborate closely with Oncology Business leadership to navigate legislative and regulatory challenges.
Policy Influence and Strategic Alliances:
- Provide inputs and influence policy and regulatory legislations affecting business operations.
- Establish strategic alliances with pharmaceutical, government, and industry partners to drive policy initiatives.
- Develop relationships with key Ministries and Organizations to leverage opportunities for the organization.
Health Economics and Market Insights:
- Develop health economic modeling projects to support treatment value propositions for payers and health systems.
- Gather market trends and insights to inform strategic planning processes.
Requirements:
- Post-graduation in Management/Economics with a bachelor's degree in life sciences preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a middle/senior management role.
- Profound knowledge of healthcare systems, national political and economic priorities.
- Strong communication, influencing, and networking skills.
- Strategic thinking abilities with leadership capabilities and a self-starting attitude.
- Excellent analytical writing skills and persuasive communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in global biopharmaceutical companies or key healthcare organizations.
- Familiarity with patient advocacy, media, and medical evidence generation.
- Experience in reimbursement planning and program implementation.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization and across various stakeholders.
