Lead - Export Acounting - CA - Retail

Position Title : Lead Export Accounting

Department :Finance & Accounts

Location :Thane

Reports to : Accounts Receivable Lead

KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (POSITION SUMMARY) :

The position shall be responsible for managing export accounting function in a shared services environment. The position will oversee smooth functioning of export receivables by ensuring customer payments as per the agreed terms and act as a single point of contact for any matters related to export receivables. The person will drive rigor and enforce continuous improvement across all processes

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Ensure incoming remittances are booked in time and provide the details to Treasury.

- Ensure correct and timely cash application as per agreed SLAs with Business Units based on processes defined and inputs received

- Ensure on time accounting and processing of all Export transactions.

- Liaise with treasury to identify potential currency risks

- Review all export Debtors and ensure proper valuation/accounting.

- Prepare/Review export documentation and ensure all actions taken.

- Drive standardization, simplification & best practice sharing across all processes / businesses. Review and suggest ways of improvements in the processes

- Effectively identify, manage, resolve and mitigate key risks and issues impacting the export operations

Primarily responsible for development of policies, procedures, systems & implementation of best practices in Sales & Accounts Receivables function

- Responsible for preparation, negotiation, periodic review & update of SLA's wherever necessary, and documenting the reasons for failure to adhere to the SLA's (if any)

- Ensures compliances to statutes & company policies in Sales & Accounts Receivables function

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Education : Chartered Accountant

Experience : 3-5 Years of experience in managing export accounting

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

- Proven experience of leading export accounting function

- Strong knowledge of accounting processes

- Strong experience in technology / SAP platform

- Exposure of working in apparel & retail industry.
