- Month end closure process
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis to a high standard. Perform monthly review and identify key risks and opportunities.
- Ensure SOX controls are maintained, including formal annual sign-off.
- Ensure adherence to Group accounting policies and review/update specific policies on timely basis.
- Work to support the SSC to ensurethey are compliant with all controls. Reporting
- Production of the Local Market month end in accordance to relevant SOX controls.
- Provision of value add insight regarding the reported and underlying performance of the Local Market being supported.
- Accountable for the delivery of any monthly reporting suites.
- Liaison with commercial accountants and the Business/Markets to relay in period & YTD financial performance.
- Review monthly results & feed into the Local Market forecasting process. Relationship Management - Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders, own and proactively manage key relationships with partners. - Manage the day to day relationship with the key stakeholders.
- Ensure all SLAs of the SSC are adhered to.
- Benchmarking - Integral to the preparation of - actuals- information for benchmarking activities.
- Promote continuous process improvement culture.
- Promote a continuous process improvement culture within the reporting and statutoryteam.
- Deliver to agreed project deadlines including appropriate level of planning/integration. "
- Prepare Financial Statements Creating core Statutory Statements including the first draft of the required commentaries/Financial and Director's Report
- Take lead role for coordinating the year end audit
- Support LOM on interim and y/e certification call/requirements
- Ensure IFRS compliance
- Building knowledge of and staying up to date with - local statutory requirements
- Support tax department queries
- Support SOX process and control reviews
- Support LOM regulatory requests for information - - both reoccurring and ad hoc requests in line with time constraints
- Support Legal Dept. demand requirements.
- MS-Office, SAP, IT Systems. Tier 3 Accounting skills
Experience: 10+ years, CA, people management.
